From 18^th to 19^th November 2022, SFL of ECNU successfully hosted the 6th Daxia Interdisciplinary Linguistics Forum, a linguistic research event. Focusing on the multi-dimensional exploration of language and linguistics, the forum featured lively academic discussions from various perspectives, including pragmatics, formal linguistics, cognitive linguistics, computational linguistics, and applied linguistics. In the spirit of openness and equal exchange, nine renowned scholars and seven young scholars from thirteen universities at home and abroad were invited to share and discuss their latest researches. The event received overwhelming response from the participants.

In his opening speech, Professor Yang Yanning, Dean of SFL, pointed out that Daxia Interdisciplinary Linguistics emphasizes content as its core, and aims to promote exchanges and discussions between the various schools of linguistics and further opening up the path of academic thought so as to stimulate the collision of new ideas. Later, nine renowned experts and seven young scholars gave keynote presentations on their respective research areas and engaged in academic discussions and exchanges with the forum participants.

Students and teachers who participated in the forum spoke highly of the forum and agreed that it had further opened up their academic horizons and provided new analytical ideas for the study of core issues in linguistics, and that they were looking forward to the next Daxia Forum.
