On December 2, the 18th China Daily “China-Australia Cup” Speech and Knowledge Contest on Regional Countries for National University Students was successfully held, hosted by the Institute of Regional Countries in SFL and the Center for Australian Studies of East China Normal University.

Contestants from 16 colleges and universities gathered at ECNU to demonstrate their rich knowledge of international politics, society, geography, culture and other fields.

Three grand prizes, six first prizes and seven second prizes were awarded. Zhang Fengling, a 2023 undergraduate student from the French Department of the College, participated in the competition and won the first prize.
