The 8th National Competition of English Teachers’ Basic Teaching Skills in Colleges and Universities came to an end in Hangzhou. The competition includes three categories of lessons: recorded lessons, speaking lessons and micro-lessons. More than 700 English teachers from colleges and universities nationwide participated in the competition.

After the fierce competition at the provincial level and the national finals, Ms. Sun Yuxia of University English Teaching Department, won the first prize in the national and provincial level in the Speaking Lesson category; Ms. Wang Congcong won the first prize in the micro-teaching category; Ms. Wang Yan won the second prize in the National Recorded Lesson category (University English), the best intonation award, and the first prize at the provincial level; and Ms. Wang Zhihong won the second prize at the provincial level in the Speaking Lecture category. Mr. Su Junling and Mr. Zhou Xiaoyong won the Outstanding Instructor Award.
