On November 27, 2023, Qiu Yutong, a 2020 undergraduate of SFL majoring in English Teacher Training, took part in the “ETIC Cup of Understanding Contemporary China”, a National College Students’ Foreign Language Proficiency Competition Qiu Yutong ranked sixth and won the gold medal in the national competition. On December 6, Qiu made persistent efforts in the International Communication Competitiveness Competition and won the bronze medal in the second level of “Terminology Story Writing”.

Under the guidance of Ms. Wang Yue, Qiu Yutong demonstrated her strong basic skills, broad knowledge and clear logic in reading, and her patriotic passion and creativity in writing so as to achieve excellent results.
