In order to further expand the mode of university-enterprise cooperation and explore a new path for the integration of industry-university-research, in October 2023, the Master of Translation Center of East China Normal University and Shanghai Grouphorse Translation Co. Ltd initiated the cooperation on translation projects. The Master of Translation Center was invited to participate in Grouphorse’s MTPE project, which is currently being promoted by a famous automobile company. Five students passed the performance appraisal and will soon join Grouphorse’s pool of practical translators, and those with outstanding performance have joined the current batch of proofreading tasks immediately.

　　The cooperation of this translation project is a further deepening of school-enterprise cooperation and integration of production and education between SFL and the Group, which is conducive to the realization of organic combination and optimal allocation of school-enterprise resources, and the joint cultivation of high-quality translation talents.

　　The Master of Translation Center of ECNU is one of the few universities in Shanghai that have the graduate programs of interpretation and translation. Grouphorse Group is the highest-level official language service provider of the United Nations Secretariat and one of the most famous global multilingual service providers in China. The center and the group have been cooperating for nearly ten years, for Grouphorse Group has been functioning as the SFL students’ translation practice base, off-campus training and employment base.
