From October 28 through 30, 2023, the 2023 National College Russian Language Competition was held at Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU). The competition was organized by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of the Ministry of Education and hosted by Beijing Foreign Studies University, with 392 undergraduate and postgraduate students majoring in Russian from 158 colleges and universities across the country taking part in. The National College Competition of Russian Language is ranked as a national-level competition of class A. Zhou Yifan, a master student of class 2023, won the Excellence Award of Master Student Group, and Zhou Yanan, a doctoral student of class 2022, won the Excellence Award of Doctoral Round Table Prize.

　　On October 17, 2023, the results of the 35th Han Suyin International Translation Competition were announced. Liu Tianjiao, a 2022 master degree student of the Department of Russian Language, won the Excellence Award of Russian to Chinese Translation with her solid Russian language skills.
