On Nov.30, 2019, 2019 China Interpretation Contest was successfully held in East China Normal University. Participans who had passed the preliminaries from Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and other provinces in East China competed for the access to the final contest. \MTI students Wang Yingying and Chen Yuan won third prize and were admitted to the national contest to be held in December.

The competition consisted of two parts, English to Chinese consecutive interpreting in the morning and Chinese to English consecutive interpreting in the afternoon.  

After the contest, the deputy dean of School of Foreign Languages in East China Normal University, Professor Yang Yanning delivered an address on behalf of the Foreign School. He shared his experience on interpreting and encouraged all interpreters to work hard. Two contestants from our school said they challenged themselves in such a competition and learned a lot. They also expressed that they would work hard to perform better in the final contest.

This contest was jointly organized by Grouphorse Group and School of Foreign Languages in East China Normal University. All volunteers were l from School of Foreign Languages in East China Normal University.
