On Nov. 24, 2019, the 8th Cross-Strait Interpreting Contest for East China was successfully held in Nanjing Normal University.

81 students from 40 universities in East China participated in it. The competition consisted of two parts: gist interpreting and conference interpreting. The top five scorer would be awarded the first prize and get admitted to the national competition.

Because of her excellent performance in the first session, our MTI student Lin Jiashang was admitted to the final session. At last, she won the second prize and Zheng Lili won the third prize.

Both of them expressed they challenged themselves in such a competition and learned a lot.
