On 17th June, 2023, the Award Ceremony of the 2023 Shanghai Youth Multilingual Microfiction Competition was held in the School of Foreign Languages of East China Normal University and the Shanghai Education Association for International Exchange.

A total of 579 pieces of micro fiction works were received in this contest. After the anonymous preliminary and final examination by the evaluation committee of the contest, 41 contestants finally won the first prize, 63 won the second prize and 104 won the third prize.

Mr Yan Lu firstly delivered a speech, congratulating the winning students and hoping that more talented young people would devote themselves to foreign language learning and strengthen the dissemination of Chinese voices overseas. Professor Yuan Xiaoyi of the Department of French expressed her recognition of the talents of the contestants in the form of a video. Mr Yin Song commented on the winning entries. Liu Guohua, Vice President of Shanghai Education Association for International Exchange, expressed his heartfelt thanks to all the secondary schools that participated in the competition.
