The Speech Contest of the Japanese Department was successfully held on 31st May. After the preliminary competition, a total of ten students participated in this speech contest. You Haiyan, Yin Song, Chen Wenjia, and foreign teachers Yoko Ishioka and Taku Yanagisawa were the judges.
The competition was held by grade, and divided into two parts, proposition speech and on-the-spot questioning. Four students from Grade 2022 gave their speeches on the topic of “My Breaking News”, while four students from Grade 2021 gave their speeches on the topic of “Japanese language engraved in their memories”. The topics of the speeches of two students from the class of 2020 were “Unforgettable words from that person” and “What I can do to be a bridge-builder for friendly exchanges between China and Japan.”
After a fierce competition and the meticulous evaluation by the judges, three first prizes, three second prizes and four third prizes were finally awarded. The Japanese Speech Contest ended successfully.
